By Jeffrey Sachse

Wednesday, April 23, 2008 (APPLETON, WI) – The eight season of the Wisconsin Challenge Series is set to get underway at a recently revamped Dells Raceway Park.  Fans will be greeted with the smell of burning rubber and fresh paint as the Cabin Fever 100 will usher in the 2008 racing season on Saturday April 26th, for both the series and the raceway.  It should prove to be a spectacular event.

"For eight years we've remained true to our vision of brining the best local racers from various tracks together for bragging rights in our races.  Its all about the hometrack guys defending their home turf against the invaders from other raceways.  It's something fans can sink their teeth into, a them verses us kind of thing.  That provides the excitement and entertainment at our events", noted Wisconsin Challenge Series events director Jeffrey Sachse.....More

Hosted at five different facilities, Dells Raceway Park, Golden Sands Speedway, Marshfield Super Speedway, Wisconsin International Raceway and Madison International Speedway, the main objective to the schedule is to return to the series roots to make it as appealing as possible to the weekly racing competitor at those raceway's and track which have similar types of Super Late Model cars.  It is expected that the schedule will allow race teams to compete with a minimum of travel and lodging expense, and for the fan the vast majority of events will be priced at $15 or less for an adult admission ticket, making these shows among the most fan friendly specials available anywhere during the 2008 season......More
